Thursday, April 11, 2024
Call to order
Board President Brittanny Taylor called the April Quorum meeting to order at 8:05 am PST/11:05 am EST. [Board members participated via Zoom]
Attendance
Secretary conducted roll call.
The following persons were present:

A Board quorum was reached.
Approval of minutes
Secretary Coopersmith motioned for approval of the March 7, 2024 minutes, seconded by Treasurer Thompson, and the Board approved the motion at 8:06 am
Board Reports
Treasurer’s Report – Jaime Thomspon
- Thompson presented an updated financial report covering the past month and incoming funds for the new quarter. A discussion was held about revisiting and adjusting the 2024 budget; reviewing the budget will be an item on the next quorum meeting agenda.
President’s Report – Brittanny Taylor
- RTS has a new sponsor: The Legal Paige, which sells legal lawyer-reviewed contracts for creative businesses. RTS will receive an affiliate link to their website, and we will receive commissions from every sale made through it. We will begin promoting that this month. Other sponsorship opportunities for Legal Paige are in the works.
- Taylor and Zook met with another company from the Lens and Light conference that is interested in supporting RTS. Brittany and Wendy presented two options for them to support the community financially, and they are waiting to hear back about their preferred choice.
- RTS needs more fundraising promotion from the Board in all the ways we have used and know are possible. Wendy and Brittany are also available to speak with companies or organizations that might be interested in sponsorship opportunities.
- Taylor is extending one-on-one board member meetings to April 19. The scheduling link will be provided in Slack
Executive Director’s report – Wendy Zook
- Zook and Taylor had their onboarding meeting with the DEI expert, who took the materials and research we gave her to move on to the secondary phase of creating a DEI committee. This will involve interviewing key board members and surveying RTS leaders.
- The volunteer email coordinator position has been filled.
- Zook will work with volunteers on a long-term social media and content strategy in the next few weeks.
- Education Committee Subcommittees are project-focused. Podcast prep is continuing. The leader library is growing. Plans for quarterly educational webinars are in the works.
- New leadership applications – interviews have begun.
- Onboarding and support system for new leaders is in place
- Stay tuned for website and blog updates
- More 2024 regional meetups – seeking sponsors and funding
- Continuing work on SOPs
- The volunteer project manager and project strategists have officially stepped in
“For the Good of the Board…”
- Next Meeting: Quarterly Board Meeting Thursday, May 9th, 2024 (8:00 am PST / 11:00 am EST)
Adjournment
Board President Taylor called to adjourn the meeting. Thompson seconded. The motion to adjourn was passed at 8:52 a.m. PST/11:52 a.m. EST.

Secretary Coopersmith submitted these minutes to the board on 4/16/24. The minutes will be voted on at the next Board meeting.
