On the first day of March 2024, for the first time in 18 months, the Rising Tide Society hosted an official get-together for leaders and members of the community!
About the New England Meetup
The New England regional meetup was open to chapters and members in Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Maine and Vermont. Approximately 40 people attended the event at La Dolce Vita in Rutland, Massachusetts and about one-fifth of those in attendance were at their first Rising Tide event ever.
The event covered the important foundations of Rising Tide Society of connection and education but also was a chance to share about the journey Rising Tide has been on in the past year – becoming an independent, self-led, nonprofit community that is better than ever before.
Our amazing attendees included several industries, including photographers, videographers, coaches, educators and more.
There was a special floral backdrop provided by Jacki Fellows of StudioJFlorals and light food and drinks thanks to La Dolce Vita.
RTS Merch items were up for grabs and available for purchase, too!
Our Rising Tide team members present (Board Members Brittanny Taylor, Marvin Flavien and Chris Stiles, Executive Director Wendy Zook and volunteer chapter leader and event co-organizer Christy Gagnon) also spoke about the exciting opportunities coming to RTS and its members in the future.
Several of the local chapter leaders spoke about what community leadership means to them and also to the power Rising Tide Society has in changing lives and businesses and partnerships.

At the heart of the event, however, was simply a chance to be in a room of people who love, need, and understand community.
